Crystal Cove State Park Wedding
Crystal Cove state park is a beautiful location for a wedding. Since growing up in Orange County a lot of families visit Crystal Cove during the summer and share a lot of memories here. Majority of the time couples will feel drawn to it because of the memories they both share here. As a wedding planner that specializes in wedding in Orange County I can tell you Crystal Cove is a beautiful back drop for a memorable wedding.
Depending on the time of year you want to get married in is the different ceremony locations that are available. There are three main locations: The Cultural Deck which is seen in the picture above. South Beach is located near the famous Beachcombers Restaurant. You have the option of getting married in the sand or above it on concrete with sand covering it. Or the most famous ceremony location and that is North Beach located right next to the famous Beaches Cottage.
Each location has it’s own perks but whichever you choose make sure your guests know they will have to park across the street at the Los Trancos Parking lot and pay for their parking. Then they will have to use The Beachcombers shuttle and pay $2 or if the couple rents a shuttle just for their wedding guests the guests can hop on that for free.
Please make sure you have signs so your guests know which way your ceremony is and is not just blindly getting dropped off and wondering around. Trust me that happens a lot if there are not signs involved.
The reception is typically located on the Cultural Deck like the picture above and over looks the ocean. It is a stunning view but make sure your guests bring a jacket for the ocean breeze later in the night.
The other two reception locations are closer to the water and are typically for a more intimate wedding. Please note that each reception location comes with it’s own rules and regulations so be sure to get all those details before selecting a location.
Other main tips for your wedding is music is very regulated and the state park does not allow live bands but they do allow one live musician that has to be pre approved ahead of time. Also there are no open flamed candles and everything has to be LED candles. There is a strict 10pm noise curfew so make sure you know that a head of time.
Also if you are planning on getting married at Crystal Cove at the Beachcombers main location that you will have to use Beachcombers as your wedding caterer. Their food is really good and their service is as well. So you will be in great hands.
The last thing to note is to make sure you hire an experienced wedding coordinator that knows the venue rules and regulations and will assist you with the perfect wedding.
