Franciscan Gardens Wedding

Franciscan Gardens is a private stand alone wedding venue owned by 24 Carrots that is located in San Juan Capistrano. It is in an extremely cute old town walking distance from the San Juan Capistrano Mission.

The Mission comes with a lot of beautiful photo opportunities for you and your wedding party. Just make sure to reserve your photo time in advanced online and pay for a permit as well.

We went with a brighter toned fall color inspired wedding. I absolutely love how it turned out and all the gorgeous details. We had 120 guests that attended the wedding and it was a perfect size.

The ceremony began at 4pm so we shut the doubled doors to the ceremony location and hid the entire bridal party behind them and opened them up for the grand reveal of the walking down the aisle.

The ceremony space is so lush and the venue provides all the chairs and staffing for the wedding so your guests are completely taken care of. The best part about the venue is that it is completely private and only your guests are on the property the entire time.

After the ceremony guests move inside for cocktail hour and enjoy tray passed appetizers and drinks from the bar. While cocktail hour is going on and the couple is taking the remaining photos we are flipping the ceremony space for the reception.

One thing we did not realize when we booked a mid November wedding was Daylight savings time. It got dark very fast and when guests came out to the reception it was already getting dark.

None the less it created a very romantic ambience and the guests truly enjoyed themselves. We went with a buffet for dinner and all the guests were served within 45 minutes of the dinner service beginning.

The couple wanted to have fun with a champagne tower prior to speeches so we really leaned into it and went it! It turned out to be a fun photo opportunity as well.

The rest of the reception was completely perfect. We had dancing and a fun photo booth. The guests did not want to leave at the end of the night because they were having so much fun! Franciscan Gardens is a beautiful wedding venue in south Orange County and you would be so lucky to have your wedding there.
